Senthil Kumar V. is a highly experienced technologist with over 17 years of experience in storage domain product design and development. He has worked with various storage technologies such as composable storage, storage-virtualization, clustering, and protocol development. Currently, he is working as a Technologist at SanDisk India DDC Pvt Ltd, a Western Digital Brand, where he is involved in NVMeoF All-Flash-Array (AFA) development using SPDK/DPDK open-source stack. Senthil's area of expertise includes storage virtualization, data-protection, multipath solutions, and storage backup product development. He has an excellent understanding of Linux OS internals, kernel programming, and device driver development. Additionally, he has experience in distributed scale-out storage compute processing and storage clustering. Senthil is well-versed in NVMe-over-Fabric, SCSI, FCP, iSCSI, and FCIP storage protocols. He has also worked on middleware development using Python and open-source tools. At SanDisk, Senthil is working on WD's composable disaggregated Nvme-oF based AFA development, where he has architected and designed the “Storage Block Virtualisation” stack for OpenFlex. He has also designed and demonstrated a PoC of 2-way clustering using pacemaker with Coro-sync stack and contributed to SPDK open source forum. Prior to his current role, Senthil has worked with Seagate and NetApp, where he has been involved in projects related to ClusterStor Management Solution (CSM) and Distributed Scale-Out SCSI Target Development in Clustered DataONTAP. He has also worked on various projects that address distributed processing challenges, such as Logical Unit Group Resync, Cluster Partition Tolerance, and Bulk Volume Mobility enhancements. Senthil holds a B.E degree in EEE from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. He is proficient in Python, Software Engineering, product design, and Puppet. With 19.38 years of relevant experience, Senthil is a highly skilled technologist with expertise in storage domain product design and development.
